Call for Special Issue (fall 2025)

The Swiss Journal of Sociocultural Anthropology invites proposals for a special issue (open theme).

The special issue consists of 4 to 6 original research articles, and an introduction by the guest editors. All articles are subject to double-blind peer-review and published Open Access free of charge. The guest editors will work in collaboration with the editorial board in selecting, reviewing, and producing the special issue scheduled for publication in the fall of 2025.

Proposals for a special issue should have a unifying theme of anthropological relevance. It may be submitted as an open Call for Papers or already include a list of potential contributors; the thematic overview should not exceed three pages. Diversity of gender, nationality, and academic position amongst the guest editors and authors is encouraged, as well as proposals containing articles in more than one of the journal’s publication languages.
