Abstract

In recent years, Bolivia and Ecuador have been the scene of radical ontological turns induced by processes of building new political constitutions. For the fi rst time, collectives with animist, analogist and naturalist modes of identifi cation had to negotiate and conciliate their «worlds» and «natures». In this article we explore the mediating role of the nature-Pachamama in the Bolivian context and its power to integrate and reassemble successfully diverging perspectives and notions of being in a new national constitution.

    Diego Landivar, enseignant-chercheur au CERDI (CNRS) et à FBS, ancien conseiller du gouvernement bolivien (2006-2008). Il dirige Origens, laboratoire de recherches en anthropologie et en humanités numériques. Ses recherches portent sur le tournant ontologique d’un point de vue politique, juridique et philosophique.

    Emilie Ramillien est anthropologue et cofondatrice d’Origens. Ses travaux portent sur la modernité, le tournant ontologique et la question de la nature. En Bolivie, sur le moment indianiste et ses conséquences sur les cosmologies et les individus.
